The King class is my personal favourite. Three of the 'Kings' live on. No. 6000 King George V has now been moved to the National Railway Museum in York. No. 6024 King Edward 1 can be seen in mainline action. No. 6023 King Edward 11, once thought to be beyond restoration, has been rescued and is in the final stages of rebuilding at Didcot Railway Centre in Oxfordshire.
